Frequently Asked Questions
Jules’ Undersea Lodge FAQ
How deep is the Lagoon?
Jules’ Undersea Lodge sits in 25 feet / 7.6 meters of saltwater with the entrance about 4 feet / 1.2 meters above the bottom. The Emerald Lagoon, in which Jules’ rests, is 30 feet / 9.1 meters deep at its deepest.
How do you get your things into Jules’?
Upon arrival you will place your belongings in a small waterproof case. Our mission director will scuba dive into the lodge and deliver it to you.
Can we bring our mobile phones?
Absolutely yes! You can even bring a small tablet if you wish, as we have a Wi-Fi connection in the Lodge.
What’s the youngest age to do a discover scuba diving experience?
The minimum age is 10 years if the child is very confident in the water. We recommend a minimum age of 12 years.
How many people can you sleep in the underwater lodge?
Jules’ can sleep up to 6 guests, but we typically accommodate small groups of 2-4 guests at a time. The Lodge has two separate bedrooms, each with a double berth and a single bunk above and a porthole looking out into the lagoon. For groups of 6, there is also a common area that can accommodate 2 guests.
What do you eat down there?
Before entering, you will be given a lunch and dinner menu to choose from. Meals will be delivered to you directly at an agreed time. The galley is also fully stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks along with a continental breakfast of fruit and pastries.
Can you accommodate special diets?
This will depend on the individual, so please contact us directly to discuss this further.
Can I stay over if I’m insulin diabetic?
Unfortunately, the air pressure in Jules’ is different to surface land pressure and there is not enough medical research to determine the safety of injecting at depth, so we cannot accommodate this.
How do you go to the bathroom?
There is a small compact lavatory inside (called the head) along with a separate shower.
Is there a hairdryer in Jules’?
A hairdryer is not provided nor allowed in Jules’ due to the potential fire risk.
Can I bring my pet?
Sadly no. The only access to Jules’ is by scuba diving.
