JULES' HAS WiFi

Hours of Operation: We are open to the public Tuesday - Friday 8:00 - 2:00 and from 8:00 - 4:00 on the weekend. Reservations can be made for anytime of the week and please leave a message if you are calling after hours. We check our messages daily and we will return your call the next day.

Jules' Undersea Lodge is a piece of history, and is operated as a "living museum" from the Golden Age of Diving. Originally designed in the early 1970s by diving pioneer Ian Koblick, it was first deployed as the mobile undersea habitat "La Chalupa" in over one hundred feet of water off the coast of Puerto Rico. It carried a full range of subsea scientific equipment as well as innovations such as mini wet-sub and breakaway decompression chamber escape capsules. The La Chalupa mission was the subject of a half-hour television documentary in 1971, still available on DVD.

Jules' Undersea Lodge was refitted and refurbished in the early 1980s as the first true ambient pressure habitat available to the general public. It has operated continuously in Key Largo, Florida for over twenty-five years. It has a perfect safety record, and thousands of satisfied guests who have experienced the wonder and delight of actually eating, sleeping, and living underwater, just as the first "Aquanauts" did in famed habitats like Conshelf, Sealab, and Tektite during the 1960s.

Undersea Lodge

When you arrive at Key Largo Undersea Park you will be greeted by one of our staff at the Gift Shop. They will help you with your check-in and give a pre dive orientation.

You will then be introduced to your Mission Director/Instructor who will give you a site briefing and orientation of how our missions run. He or she will give you directions on how we exchange tanks, when dinner will be served, how to enter and exit the lodge, communication with your surface support and your time of departure from the lodge in the morning.

Jules' Undersea Luxury For Two

Our JUL for Two Package is $800.00 and includes our world famous Pizza delivery dinner from Tower of Pizza, a family owned and operated local Italian restaurant. Breakfast includes coffee or tea, orange juice, Greek yogurt and your choice of cereal. There's plenty of water, soda and snacks as well. Don’t worry about your dive gear. We have it here and it is included with your package.

Check-in: 2:00 p.m.

Check-out: 8:30 a.m.

Upgrade your dinner experience with your choice of Florida Lobster or filet mignon, fresh steamed vegetables, hand tossed salad, baked potato and top it off with home made key lime pie for an extra $180.00.

Not A Certified Diver?

If you are not a certified diver Jules' offers the Discover Scuba course so you too can experience sleeping underwater. This course is $95.00 per person and you must be in good health and able to swim.

Note: This is not a full certification and you must be 10 years or older to participate.

Habitat History PADI Specialty

While you're visiting Jules' Undersea Lodge earn yourself a PADI specialty certification by taking our Habitat Specialty Program. You will learn about the history of Jules' Lodge and undersea exploration. The Habitat Specialty is $85.00 per student.

The Ultimate Romantic Getaway Package

This package offers exclusive use of our Lodge and is perfect for Honeymooners (or would-be honeymooners!). A fully cooked meal comes with this package. You get your choice of filet mignon or Florida lobster with fresh steamed vegetable, salad, baked potato and home made key lime pie.

Upon entering the lodge you'll be greeted by mood music, fresh flowers, shrimp cocktail and a fresh fruit bowl. You will also receive a Jules' t-shirt when you surface.

While you're visiting Jules' Undersea Lodge earn yourself a PADI certification by taking our Habitat Specialty. Jules' Undersea Lodge is the only place you will ever earn this particular specialty. Our Habitat Specialty Certification - $85.00

Scuba to Jules' Undersea Lodge for a three hour visit with lunch. Enjoy unlimited diving for certified divers, watch a movie, listen to music, or just relax and enjoy the tranquility of Innerspace. Lunch is your choice of pizza or sub from Tower of Pizza.

Are You Interested In Marine Biology?

Sign up for the Marine Lab Excursion while having an Overnight Stay or doing your Mini Adventure and be introduced to the history of undersea exploration, listen to live whales and even run a miniature remote operated vehicle with our senior Marine Biologist. The Marine Lab Excursion is $125.00 per person.

Cancellation policy: Because Jules' Undersea Lodge has only two rooms, we strictly adhere to the following policy: There is a 50% refund of your deposit 30 plus days prior to your reservation date. No refund 30 days or less of your reservation date. You are always able to reschedule your reservation date with a fee of $50.00. If there is an evacuation in the Keys due to weather you will be able to reschedule your stay without having to pay a rescheduling fee. Gift Certificates are transferable not refundable.

Please note: We require you to be here ON TIME. If you are not here by 5:00 p.m. and you have not called to inform our staff that you will be late for your normal check-in-time, your reservation will be cancelled and there is no refund. If you are diving as a certified diver and you arrive without your certification card there will be a $35.00 verification fee and if we are not able to confirm your certification you will have to take the Discover Scuba Course.

MEDICAL RESTRICTIONS FOR NON-CERTIFIED DIVERS

Your stay in the underwater lodge is considered a dive and diving places stress on your body; therefore, you need to be in good health in order to dive at Jules’ Undersea Lodge.

You cannot take the Discover Scuba course if you:

Are not able to swim
Are pregnant

Have any psychological reasons that would prevent you from diving

Are insulin diabetic

You will need a doctor’s release if you:

Have a history of heart disease, heart attack, or heart or blood vessel surgery

Have a history of high blood pressure, angina, or take medication to control blood pressure

Have had chest surgery

Have a history of seizures, dizziness, blackouts or fainting, convulsions or epilepsy, or take medications to prevent them

Have a history of respiratory problems or disease

Have a history of lung disease

Have had emphysema or tuberculosis

Have had a collapsed lung (pneumothorax)

Have a history of ear disease, hearing loss, or problems with balance

Have a history of sinus problems

Have a history of ear or sinus surgery

Have any psychological reasons that would prevent you from diving

Have a history of colostomy (a surgical opening that connects the colon to the surface of the abdomen)

Have diabetes

Have asthma

Have recently had an operation or serious illness

Have a nervous system disorder

Have a history of bleeding or other blood disorders

Are under the care of a physician or have a chronic illness

Are not Scuba certified and over the age of 45 and have a family history of heart attack or stroke

You should seriously consider not diving if you:

Have had difficulty with your ears

Are claustrophobic or have panic attacks

Are currently suffering from a cold or congestion

We will not be able to accommodate non-Scuba certified minors on medications for ADD/ADHD
